The bronze finials adorning these andirons, or firedogs, are one of a kind sculptural castings. Each crescent will have unique surface figuration and color, the result of a casting technique we've developed that allows the molten bronze surface to chill in the open air.
The bronze is then flamed to enhance the tones in the material, and finally waxed. The color will evolve, deepening over time.
